Foods that should not be on a healthy food list!
Here is just a few food items that you might think are healthy but in fact are actually quite bad for your body in terms of maintaining health and fighting the flab.
**Veggie Chips**

Don’t be fooled by the name Veggie chips, these chips although you would imagine them to be a healthier option to potato chips or crisps actually contain the exact same calories and fat in most cases.
In the majority of cases these chips only contain a measly 10 calories less which isn’t a huge difference at all.
**Broccoli and chedder soup**
Just because there is broccoli in this soup doesn’t mean its a healthy option. The fact that the other main ingredient is cheddar means that it is packed with unhealthy fats and therefore high in calories. There isn’t enough broccoli in the soup either to provide you with even one serving of broccoli. So when soups such as this are on the menu be careful that you aren’t tricked into thinking it would be on a healthy food list just because it contains a small amount of veg.
**Vitamin Enriched water**
Vitamin are essential for your body, so you would imagine that vitamins added to water is the perfect combination for optimal health. But no this is not the case.
These drinks also contain sugar and calories that you may not be aware of. Usually the label will list only half the amount of calories in the bottle so be sure to read it correctly. If it says 100 calories in 250 mls make sure that’s how much is in the bottle.
Plain water even if it has a squeeze of lemon is the only calorie free drink that is completely healthy for you.
**Raisin’s covered with yoghurt**
Raisins are a fruit right? so they must be healthy! and yes they are to a certain extent but if they are yoghurt covered raisins this changes things. The yoghurt that coves the raisin isn’t as nutritious as your every day yoghurt. It is in fact a mixture of sugar, oils, yoghurt powder and dried milk.
This little snack is also ridiculously high in calories with just 1/4 of a cup containing 130 calories and so therefore should never be added to a healthy food list.
**Diet Drinks**
You may be fooled into thinking that diet drinks are the best alternative to other full fat drinks, but the fact is that even diet drinks are believed to but your body at increased risk of suffering from osteoporosis.
It is believed that dark soda’s contain phosphoric acid which is believed to take calories from your bones making them more fragile over time. These drinks also do not hydrate your body which is essential for proper digestion and therefore weight loss.
As you can see a lot of these foods i’m sure you would mistake for being healthy, but further research and investigation indicates that they should never be found on a healthy food list due to high calories and bad fat content.
