4. Flat Bench Dumbbell Fly’s (Helps to build chest muscle very effectively)
- Lie flat on the bench with feet firmly on floor.
- Ensure backside, back , shoulders and head are firmly on bench.
- With your palms facing each other raise the dumbbells above you. Your elbows should be slightly bent. The dumbbells should almost be touching each other!
- Next lower the dumbbells while keeping your elbows slightly bent. Lower the dumbbells away from each other in an arc. Lower the dumbbells until you feel a slight stretch in your chest muscles.
- Then raise them up to the position you first started out with.
- Repeat the last two steps until you feel it in yourself that you can do no more.
…If you having trouble imagining how to do this exercise and what i mean by ‘an arc’, then just …imagine you are hugging a tree!
- This exercise can be done on the incline and decline bench.
